This site-specific installation is a physical model of the data extraction and appropriation that exists within the digital space. The material consists out of unwanted a4 printouts that were left around the xerox machine, by other members of my school. On the other side of the collected footage I printed enlarged copy of one of the found prints, which featured ‘be eco friendly think before print’ sign. Its message can be also understood in terms of our activity in the internet space. By expanding the print from the wall to the floor and the window next to it I managed to fill the whole corner with a4 papers, creating much more immersive experience for the viewer. During the documentation I decided to recreate one of the Jeff Wall photographs, as I was inspired by his ability to create vernacular-like images with a twist of uncanniness.
