analogue prints

“AQUARIUM” explores the characteristics of architectural photography through darkroom processes. This project attempts to challenge the often artificial depictions of man-made structures, through featuring signs of the analogue process in the form of chemical stains, heavy grain or finger prints. It also challenges Marc Augé concept of ‘non-places’, as by photographing signs of human activity and other imperfections existing within the buildings I attempt to give identity and history to places such as the outdoor smoking cabin, which are defined by their temporality.
